Getting Wicked in LA

Before becoming homeowners and eating ramen for the rest of our adult lives, I decided to splurge on my wifey and take her to Wicked in LA with some friends. It happened to be on the same Friday Night in preparing for the Oscars so there was a ton of "pageantry"-to use a Meeshee Scherrei term-around the CPK we ate dinner at before we went to the Pantages Theater.

Now I am no "musical" fan but I will say this - I loved it. Outstanding. My favorites songs - I can't believe I just said that - were "Popular" and "Gravity" or whatever they are called. I just remembered the chorus.

As we walked into the lush and vibrant seating - in the middle about 40 rows from the front - I was so excited to take it all in and mark this momentous occasion... I pulled out my camera and then I got caught [watch the video].

Someone Stopped By Saddleback Today

"Pastor" Randall Cunningham [center], Deacon "Mike" [right of Randall] and our regular guest worship leader in our PRAISE venue, Morris Chapman [far right].

Randall has started a church in Vegas called Remnant Ministries and stopped by to check out Saddleback's "forward thinking campus" - so we took out our 1986 Polaroid Camera and took this grainy picture.

Here is a pict of Morris looking "fly" [below].

Joy Had a Little Accident

Who Can't get Excited About Grout?

Anne spent a mere FIVE HOURS with us between our two visits with her - thankfully, through her coaching, we picked the right GROUT color. Below, a serving of the guest bathroom TILE.

Joy tried to sneak out a sample of our granite countertops.

The Den and Entry, HICKORY distressed!

Hard as a rock SLATE for the master bath!

Joy showing off her BELOVED STAINMASTER.

Sweet, sweet TILE for the Kitchen and Powder room.

Garret Anderson and Mike Sweeney

Ron Serrato [far right] did a great job hosting a youth softball/baseball spring training camp at Saddelback Church and invited Garret Anderson [left, Angels star left fielder] and Mike Sweeney [second from right, Kansas City Royals star] to come and sign autographs. Sweeney even shared his personal story and how he came to faith in Christ.

We became good friends by the end - here we are talking about our favorite Humvee Rims.

The Kerr's New Diggs [as of April]

Here is the finished product when our town home is completed! Our model is like the brick one [above] or the second one from the right [below].
