Joyus Goes Halloween - enough said!

The "Fellas" Weekend - Sans Dave Lang

Good morning Evan! Rise and shine at 5:40am last Friday morning [Oct. 20] for the beginning of our annual "fellas" bonding fest. Most of the pictures are not allowed to be shown for fear that children or small marsupials would be frightened by such displays of 30+ yr olds hapless bouts of nostalgic story telling, playing video games, and pulling hamstrings while trying to relive one's 20s for the weekend. It was well... awesome as you can see.

Evan decided to WOW us with his latest skills in using email. Westy [wearing his yellow-my-wife-doesn't-like-this-shirt as an act of freedom], shows off his passion for xbox 360. Go Chris - dominate for us.

Can you just SENSE the excitement and the fun all over the place!? Look at Father Alex... tearing it up - way to go FUNNY guy.

Baby #2 for our friends the Laviks - Andra Lavik!

Please pray for baby Andra - she is going through some health issues right now and could use your prayers! She is a beauty and has big plans to give her older sister, Matty, some competition for cutest in the family.

Girls Fantasy Football Draft Celebration

Who is the girl on the right? Does anyone know her? Well, I believe this picture was taken near the night of the Girls Fantasy Football draft [no guys allowed in the league] so ofcourse we had to make a night of it. Matt and I ... uh ... helped. Obviously, it got a little intense so Irons felt he needed to remove any hindrances from thinking clearly - thus, he went shirtless for Kristy's draft. What a guy.

The Visitor

Our good buddy Kelly McFadden comes to hang out at the Kerr Pad back in Sept before her hubby Mike could follow! [Yeah - I am a little behind on our updates - both are back in the OC after a year in Oxford. It is GREAT to have them back... hopefully to stay!] Posted by Picasa

The Crowning of "Ferris"

Thanks to Von Ebers/Huy Do...
Mike has finally been appropriately described as The "Ferris Bueller" of Christendom.

Just ask the golf caddies of Lagos, Nigeria, to the regulars in the taverns of Scotland, the professor's who reside in the bowels of Wycliffe hall at Oxford, the envious onlookers of Barrel Man days at CU, the Frito Lay janitorial staff, the congregants who sat next to Disco Guy at Mariners Church, the participants of the Sunday Night "dance offs" after systematic theology and spaghetti, the victims of his many wiffle ball tournaments, the throngs of college students who were riveted by his "trampoline" illustration, the aspiring Alex English wannabes from Court of Purg... and so many more... they would all agree that Mike "Ferris" Mcfadden truly is Ferris, incarnate.

Weekend at Home

Well, we had a great time in Northern California celebrating my Dad's Birthday - we hung out with Tony, Wendy, Momma and even Laney, Jim and Allison... we gave Dad the infamous SCRAPBOOK [thank you to all who contributed!] of his 60 year journey with letters and picts from family and friends. Joy did an amazing job on it. He loved it! He also loved how we rented him his favorite car - a convertible mini-cooper. Check out a brief excerpt of DRIVINWITHDAD.
